7-Inch Seamless Gutters for Tile Roofs & Large Rooflines
Some roofs simply produce more water than a standard gutter can carry. Barrel tile channels runoff into fast, concentrated streams, and big two-storey roof planes deliver a lot of volume to a very short section of gutter.
A 7-inch seamless gutter carries more water than a 6-inch run and pairs with larger downspouts. It is the option we recommend for flat tile, barrel tile and metal roofs, and it is also the recommended, appropriate choice on steep-pitched shingle roofs, where water reaches the edge fast and lands further out. On typical shingle roofs, 6-inch seamless is generally the option we install. All of this is guidance: the final size is set after we assess the roof and the runoff on site. When a standard run overflows repeatedly, the first question is whether a gutter repair — a pitch correction or an added downspout — solves it, or whether the trough is genuinely undersized.
The gutter is roll-formed on site from a continuous coil, so there are no joints along the length of each run. Corners, end caps and outlets remain sealed connections, and hanger spacing is set for the extra weight the larger profile carries when full. We install the larger profile across Pasco County and Tampa Bay, including for homes in Lutz and homes in Wesley Chapel with tile and steep-pitched roofs.

Roof area, pitch and valley concentration measured before a size is recommended. Seven-inch is the recommended option for flat tile, barrel tile and metal roofs and for steep-pitched shingle roofs; 6-inch is generally the option on typical shingle roofs. Either way, the recommendation follows an on-site roof and runoff assessment rather than a fixed rule.

Do you offer custom gutter color matching on 7-inch gutters?
Yes. Custom color matching applies to our 7-inch seamless gutters as well: you choose from gutter color options selected to complement your roof, trim, siding and overall exterior, and our team helps you identify an appropriate match for a clean, cohesive finished appearance. On tile-roof homes we go over the options on site, against the actual roof.
Do I need 6-inch or 7-inch gutters?
Six-inch seamless is generally the option for typical shingle roofs, and 7-inch is the recommended option for flat tile, barrel tile and metal roofs and for steep-pitched shingle roofs. That is guidance rather than a guarantee — we confirm it after assessing the roof and runoff on site. Tile roofs, steep pitches, large roof planes and valleys that dump into one short run are where 7-inch earns its place.
Are 7-inch gutters worth the extra cost?
On a roof that regularly overflows a smaller gutter, yes — the alternative is water at the foundation every storm. On a modest shingle roof, 6-inch is usually the sensible spend and we will say so.
Do you offer copper gutters?
No. We install seamless aluminum only, in 6-inch and 7-inch profiles.
Will 7-inch gutters look bulky?
They are visibly larger, but colour matching and clean downspout placement keep them reading as part of the roofline. We can show you the profile at the estimate.
Can 7-inch gutters take gutter guards?
Yes, guards are fitted to the larger profile.
