Common calls are leaking joints and corners, loose hangers, downspouts that have pulled away and runs that hold water instead of draining. We start by repairing leaks and sagging sections at the actual fault, which is not always where the water shows up.
A sound gutter with one problem is usually worth fixing. A system with repeated failures, the wrong size for the roof, or outlets that cannot be placed where the water needs to go is often better replaced. We explain which case you are in and why.
Gutter size is more than picking a number. Size and downspout count follow from how much roof drains into each section — not from a single standard applied everywhere. We look at the roof area per run, the roof's configuration, and valleys that concentrate runoff into one spot, then at gutter capacity, downspout capacity and placement, and where the collected water will discharge.
As general guidance, 6-inch seamless gutters are common on shingle-roof homes, and 7-inch systems are available where more capacity is appropriate, including 7-inch gutters for tile roofs. Those are starting points, not rules — the final size comes from the house itself.

Under heavy tree cover, gutter guards reduce how much debris gets in. They do not make a gutter maintenance-free, and they are not necessary on every property — we will tell you honestly whether they make sense for yours.
Downspouts and drainage
Collecting roof water is only part of the system. Where that water discharges matters just as much, and every property is different.
A downspout can move a problem rather than solve it. We look at grade, hardscape and property lines before deciding where each one discharges.
Often the answer is downspout extensions that carry water out to ground that falls away from the house. Where there is nowhere sensible for surface water to go, a French drain is the better answer.

Six-inch seamless is what we generally install on shingle roofs, and seven-inch is our usual recommendation for tile roofs. Roof material is a starting point, not the whole answer: roof area, pitch, valleys, how much water concentrates on each run, and downspout capacity all factor into the final size.
Often, yes, including systems we did not install. Leaking joints and corners, loose or sagging sections, and damaged downspouts can often be repaired. When a system has several failures or keeps coming back to the same problem, we will tell you if replacement is the better choice.
Sectional gutters are joined from stock lengths, and each joint relies on sealant — the part of a gutter system with the shortest life in Florida heat and UV. Seamless gutters are formed as one continuous run, so the only joints are at corners, end caps and outlets.
Sometimes, partly. Gutters control where roof water is released, which can be a large share of the water arriving in one spot. Whether that solves a wet yard depends on grade and soil, and we will say so if gutters alone are not the answer.
Away from the foundation, and toward somewhere that can take it without creating a new problem. On some lots that is a simple extension; on others it needs more thought about the route.

Lifetime limited warranty on gutter installation labor and workmanship, for the original purchaser while they own and occupy the property where the gutters were installed. It is non-transferable. Registered 20-year limited manufacturer warranty from Ply Gem on the Mastic Performance Metals gutter coil finish, covering chipping, peeling, flaking or blistering caused by a manufacturing defect. It may be transferred once, prorated. Neither warranty covers storm and hurricane damage or other acts of God, damage caused by other trades, clogging or overflow from lack of maintenance, or alterations made by anyone else. Labor claims must be made in writing within 30 days of discovering the issue. Full terms are in the written warranty document.
