7-Inch Seamless Gutters & Drainage in Starkey Ranch
At this Starkey Ranch home in Odessa, we handled the gutters and the underground drainage as one water-management project, so roof runoff had a planned route from the gutter line all the way to the catch basins.
The gutter system is 7-inch seamless K-style aluminum, formed from .32 gauge gutter material in Musket Brown. Water drains through 3x4 rectangular downspouts made from .19 gauge material, finished with matching elbows, matching screws and matching pipe bands so every above-ground component shares the same color.
Below ground, all of the downspouts were connected into an underground French drain, and the home's A/C drain lines were connected into the same drainage system. The main line is 4-inch perforated French-drain pipe, running approximately 103 linear feet along the property line. Along the final 15 to 20 feet or so, the drainage splits into two separate lines, each leading to its own catch basin, for two separate catch basins in total.
Planning the gutter and drainage work together allowed the downspout locations, A/C drain lines and underground drainage route to be incorporated into one complete system.
